Two powerful bombs ripped the city of Hyderabad on Saturday evening. The bombs exploded at Gokul chat bhanadar at Koti and Lumbini Park. Nearly 30 people were killed at the blast at Koti and 10 at Lumbini Park.
The bomb blasts come a day ahead of Sunday when thousands of marriages are set to take place. In Hyderrabad alone more than 5000 marriages are supposed to be performed on Sunday.
The police have put the city on high alert. The bombs were found unexploded at different parts of the city. A powerful bomb was defused near the TV tower at Malakpet.
Security has also been beefed up at all the major temples in the state. Many marriages are likely to be performed at temples and the police suspect terrorists might target these places. The blasts at Mecca Masjid took place exactly 100 days ago.
