India's best known modern western dancer Shamak Davar, after his success as a choreographer, has turned a producer of a Hindi play.

The play 'Bombay Black', written by Anosh Irani and directed by Anahita Uberoi, is a 'sensual drama' involving a blind man, a dancer and her mother. It has already won awards abroad.

With a cast that includes Meenal Patel, Radhika Apte and Shreyas Pandit, the play opens on September 27 at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) here.
