Model-actor Sanaa Khan, who shot to limelight with her controversial ad promoting the ‘fantasy’ undergarment brand seems ecstatic because her ‘secret dream has been fulfilled’.
Sanaa has just shot for a cosmetic commercial with Shah Rukh Khan. Incidentally, the commercial has been shot by Shirish Kunder (‘Jaane-E-Mann’ director). “I had never imagined that I would get to work with him. The reason I was thrilled was because SRK had to put a rose in my hair and compliment me on my fair, flawless complexion. When he whispered his lines I was blushing,” recalls Sanaa adding, “I found him to be very jovial and down-to-earth.”
Wasn’t it true that Sanaa had initially rejected the innerwear commercial, which fetched her instant fame? “Yes, I presumed that they would make me wear a skimpy outfit and hover around a hunk. So I refused it. Later they assured me, that there was no male model at all and that I had to look demure,” she says.
Sanaa is also featuring in singer Abbas Ali Mirza’s video ‘Sitam-Peak of Passion’ and will also be seen with actor Deepika Padukone in another commercial.
The Bollywood aspirant has performed a lavani in ‘Bombay to Goa’ and an item-song in a recent episode of show ‘Meri Doli Tere Angnaa’ (Zee) apart from bagging a Tamil film opposite the regional heartthrob Simbu. Sanaa says, “I’ve been getting offers to play the lead in TV shows but I want to do films. I want to do comedies with David Dhawan, Priyadarshan, Rajkumar Hirani and a thriller with Abbas-Mustan.”
