Abhi-Ash were seen tossing coins at the screen during a special preview of Jhoom... They landed on the heads of people in the front row, who were far from amused!
Thanks to Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya , it was raining money during a special Jhoom Barabar Jhoom screening organised for the stars and their families over the weekend. An animated Abhishek Bachchan along with wife Aishwarya arrived with coin-filled potlis and kept flinging them at the screen. The couple would aim a handful of coins at the screen every time Abhishek made an entry. Obviously, fellow colleagues and celebrities sitting in the front rows were not amused.
A filmmaker who didn't wish to be named, says, "After some time I felt like collecting those coins and throwing them back at Abhishek. He was too thrilled and didn't realise that the coins were landing on our heads. They needed good aiming skills for the coins to land at the screen."
If sources are to be believed Abhishek refused to take a seat and instead scampered near the aisle. He kept hooting, screaming, giggling and dancing with wife Ash. An actor quickly adds, "What's wrong in that? We were just having fun. All of us just loved the film. But a few people didn't quite appreciate Abhishek's madness."
Director Shaad Ali's close aides indeed made attempts to calm Abhishek down but he was in a mood to celebrate. Another source from Imax Adlabs says, "All the cast members where having so much fun. Abhishek, Ash and Preity were cheering aloud. Lara and Bobby were sober. Our cleaning staff did mention that coins of smaller denomination were scattered all over the place."
Abhi-Ash did a closing act too. When the credits rolled towards the end, guests witnessed another money shower. Apart from the cast and their close friends, the screening was attended by Nikhil Advani, Rohan Sippy, Kunal Kohli, Sanjay Gadhvi, Pooja Bedi and Niharika Khan.
