Raghupati Raghava Rajaram(R4) is simple and noble doctor who has taken up the responsibility of bringing up his brothers and sisters. His brother(ETV Prabhakar) joins the freedom struggle and gets killed by ‘bad’ British and rest of the family members also gets killed (don’t ask why, even the director has no clue) which forces R4 to take up the mantle of fighting British(Senior NTRs sardar paparayadu get up). The British after declaring independence takes away some fighters as POWs and after they get old(which we are told some 60 years) throws them in the sea. R4(he cannot die in Sea) comes back to India and starts killing the people who are evils of society.
In between we have some songs between the heroines and the grandson(of course Balaya) and some really good dialogues in some sequences.
Grandpa Balayya get up is really good, but overall he was much more active and energetic(we can safely assume more than 80 years) than the grandson Balayya.
Positives :
Very good first half
First song
Balayya Dance in second song
Liberal skin show of Heroines
Balayya all the way
Balayya encounter with the CM
The dialogue on ‘kulam’
Excellent get up for grandpa Balayya
Weak Points :
No comedy
No villainy
Very Very weak flashback(in fact this killed the movie beyond recovery)
Songs
Music
No other character was established
Ugly make up for Simran
Overall, it was very confused story line and utterly confusing narration. YVS has really shown his admiration for NTR family, but in the process he forgot that he is directing and producing a movie which is supposed to give a new lease of life to Balayya.
