Mammootty after the stupendous success of Annan Thambi is starting work on his new film Parinthu in Kozhikode from Monday (May 12).
The movie scripted by T A Razaq, will be directed by M Padmakumar who became famous through his Prithviraj films like Vaasthavam, Vargam and Ammakkilikoodu Jayasurya who had earlier done Bus Conductor with Mammootty will again star with him in the film. Mammootty plays a ruthless moneylender ‘Gillette’ Purushothaman, for whom money is “the be all and end all of life”.
Jayasurya is an important link in the story as a hawala dealer, who is forced to seek support from shrewd private financier Purushothaman.
Glamour girls Navneet Kaur , Lakhsmi Rai and Roma are in the female leads. Parinthu will also feature Kalabhavan Mani in an important role. The film, produced by Howly Pottur under the banner of Dream Team Productions, is scheduled to release on July 11.
