Bhoopathy Pandian's Raja Vesham is to begin shooting once Ajith's commitment in Billa 2007 is over. Meanwhile, since Ajith happens to be too busy with Kreedom and Billa 2007, the director has decided to commence work with another project "Malaikottai."
Sources close to the director indicate that he had offered the lead role in Malaikottai to Vishal However, Vishal is stated to have declined the offer as preparations are on full swing for the movie Satyam, which is due to commence in June, where he plays an up and straight cop.
According to the actor, he thinks that he cannot do full justice to his role in Satyam, if he accepts Malaikottai. With Satyam being simultaneously produced in Telugu, where he has managed to get a good reception, Vishal wants to give his very best. Moreover, he knows the importance of a cop role in a hero's career.
It is a well-known fact that Bhoopathy Pandian's ventures are comedy oriented. Looks like Vishal might have to miss out on this opportunity to come out of the action hero mold.
