Dashing John Abraham puts himself in the ‘Smoking Zone’ for Anurag Kashyap’s movie No Smoking .
It’s been a long time since John bid his final adieu to the bad habit of smoking. But while working for ‘No Smoking’, the actor is willy-nilly drawn back to the habit, as he has to smoke for many shots in the film.
John says he can’t pretend to smoke for his role because the audience will catch it. So he actually inhales the smoke for his scenes.
“The irony is, I am turning into a smoker while working in an anti-smoking film,” John is quoted as saying.
Another irony is that the movie’s director and others in the crew are regular smokers.
‘No Smoking’ is the story of a chain smoker who joins a rehab to quit smoking after his marriage comes to the verge of breaking because of his habit. Ayesha Takia is playing John’s wife in the film.
Besides John and Ayesha, Rajkumar Santoshi, Ranvir Shorey and Joy Fernandes are also part of the main cast of the film.
