Bhukailas – one acre 50 crores was the title of a new film in which Venu Madhav was the hero. It was a comic take on the real estate scene in the state. But what was shown in the film is not far from reality as shown by ITC. The ITC group bid land at Madhapur for a whopping 30 crore per acre.
This was much more than the upset price fixed by the government. The upset price was 15 crore and ITC bid for the land for 30 crore an acre. This is the highest amount paid by anyone so far and a record in the state.
