The committee asked to probe the reasons behind the collapse of the flyover at Punjagutta has submitted the report to Municipal Administration minister Koneru Rnga Rao. The report blames the waterworks department, the GHMC and lastly Gammon India.
The report lets of Gammon India with a mild rap and a fine. The company has been asked to pay a fine of 10 per cent of the project cost i.e. 2.9 crore of the 29crore. The company officials however are said to be planning to go on an appeal in the High Court against the committee’s recommendations.
