It is well aware that Rajanikanth had accepted to play hero in 'Robot' to be directed by Shankar Some posters related to the film were also released recently. Rajani appears with a French beard in the movie. When it comes to the heroines, it is reliably learnt that there are two heroines in the film. Of them, confirmation was received from one heroine.
She is Deepika Padukone of Om Shanti Om -fame had agreed to play opposite Rajanikanth. Chances were bright for Nayanatara bagging an opportunity for the other heroine role and as per reports she is being contacted by the producers. It is worth mentioning here that Nayanatara played opposite Rajani in 'Chandramukhi' and also shook her legs for Sivaji as per the wishes of Rajani.
Eros Multimedia of Mumbai and Ayngaran International of Tamil Nadu had agreed to produce the movie jointly. It is said that the film would be made with a heavy budget, and would be brought out simultaneously in three languages, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. AR Rahman had agreed to score music for the movie.
