DEEPIKA PADUKONE, WHO HAS A COUPLE OF BROKEN HEARTS TO HER CREDIT, REPORTEDLY CALLED YUVRAJ SINGH ON THE PHONE TO TELL HIM IT WAS OVER BETWEEN THEM.
After months of crying hoarse that they are "just friends", Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have finally decided to shed all pretences and come clean. Though they are not shouting about it from the roof-tops, the couple now seem more relaxed and less hassled about keeping the obvious sparks between them under wraps. Last heard, a love-struck Ranbir, lost in his lady love's eyes reportedly whispered "I love you". What's more, a coy Deepika gushed, "I love you too...!" The duo were reportedly so much into each other that they failed to notice all the curious eyes and ears glued on to them.
Ranbir apparently first met Deepika when he visited the sets of Om Shanti Om along with his dad Rishi Kapoor. Sources reveal the attraction between Ranbir and Deepika was instantaneous as they chatted and exchanged their contact numbers immediately. The two young stars were seen driving around Mumbai often for a few months, with Deepika behind with wheels often. Just when the love story had begun, news was out that they broke up. The reason was pressure from the Kapoor khandaan who were worried their sonny boy's link-up would cause him to lose out on female fans.
Fans or no fans, Cupid finally had his way, and the oh-so-in-love couple is now going to town with their love story. A source at Farah Khan's party recently swore that he saw the two coochie-cooing.
Meanwhile, adding a filmy twist to the tale is the underdog in this love story - Deepika's ex-flame, cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who, we hear, was dumped rather unceremoniously. Deepika, who allegedly has a couple of broken hearts to her credit, (remember her model boyfriend Nihar Pandya?) reportedly called Yuvi on the phone to tell him it was over between them. Knowing the ice-maiden that Deepika is, Yuvi should consider himself lucky she didn't decide to dump him via a rude SMS.
Having the last laugh is yet another character in this mad, mad love story - a rather miffed Kim Sharma who was dropped like a hot potato by Yuvi just months ago. Kim, they say, is gloating over Yuvi's fate and feels ‘what goes around, comes around'. Wonder what Deepika will have to say to that!
