The unit members of the soap cancelled shooting after lead actor Shabbir Ahluwalia discovered dead bodies of two young girls at the location

The cast and crew members of Balaji's popular soap Kayamath had an unpleasant experience just before they started shooting at Aksa beach in Malad (West) on January 4. The production house had set up a lavish gazebo on the beach and intended to shoot night-long with the lead pair Shabbir Ahluwalia and Panchi Bora. However, they had to dismantle the sets even before they could start shooting.

Shabbir, who had come in early, was taking a stroll after sun down when he discovered dead bodies of two young girls on the shore. The shocked actor alerted the unit members who rushed to the spot. They immediately informed the local police station and decided to cancel the shooting.

A unit member informs, "We had put up a gazebo set at Aksa beach. We were gearing up to film when Shabbir spotted dead bodies of two young girls. We immediately informed the local police about the bodies. Later we called up our seniors in Balaji and requested them to cancel the shoot as everybody was quite upset with the incident."

Panchi , who plays Prachi on the show, was on her way to the beach when she got to know about the unfortunate incident. Initially, she refused to believe her co-star Shabbir and dismissed it as a prank to scare her.

She says, "Shabbir had informed me about the dead bodies. I thought it was a joke and he was just trying to scare me. Later some unit members called and asked me not to report to work that night."

The cast and crew members shot at Aksa beach the following night but far away from the spot where the dead bodies were found. Apparently, Shabbir and Panchi were quite uncomfortable while enacting the scenes. So much so that Panchi even refused to be left alone and urged her mommy to accompany her to the shoot.

She says, "I was scared and was quite uncomfortable while shooting there the next day. My mother accompanied me to the sets, as she was apprehensive about me being close to the place where the unfortunate incident took place. Once at the shoot I refused to be left alone even for a minute," says Panchi

Shabbir was unavailable for comment.
