Dasari Narayana Rao is shocked at being dropped from the union cabinet. For him it may have come as a bolt from the blue, but many congressmen in private admit that the writing was on the wall for quite some time. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh undertook a review of the performance of the ministers and found Dasari to be one of the most ineffective as a minister.
Dasari used to spend more time in Hyderabad with people from Tollywood than in Delhi. He is from the same community s that of Chiranjeevi and he hope that this would keep his position in the congress safe. He thought that the congress party would use his services to counter Chiranjeevi’s influence in the state. Dasari is now weeping on the shoulders of some close friends from Tollywood.
