‘Nothing is sexier than women with a secret’, goes one of the punch lines of director duo Abbas-Mastan’s latest offering ‘Race’. And if the woman holding a secret is someone like Bipasha Basu, it seems even more true. Interestingly, Bipasha plays a character with negative streaks in this thriller.

Though the actor is remembered for her vamp act in her debut film ‘Ajnabee’ (2001) followed by her claim to fame ‘Jism’ (2003), not many are aware that she also went negative in the small-time film ‘Chehraa’ (2005) opposite Dino Morea. Now, three years after ‘Chehraa’, Bipasha would be seen in a negative role once again in ‘Race’, which is set in the ‘Dhoom 2’ mode.

Apart from stunts and high-definition action sequences, there’s also a suspense angle roped into the ‘sport-centric thriller’, as quoted by Bipasha. ‘Race’ would also reunite Bipasha with her ‘Ajnabee’ director duo Abbas Mustan after seven years.

As is the case with most Abbas Mustan films, characters in this film too have grey shades. Be it Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif , Sameera Reddy or Bipasha Basu, each of them has a secret to guard.

The other USP of the film is the chemistry shared by Bips-Saif. An actor closely associated with the project reveals, “Bipasha and Saif share a sexy chemistry in the film. The two have shot for a steamy lovemaking scene.” But while viewers look forward to the passion, the film also has an exciting twist, which is projected in the tag line that goes, ‘The only thing more deadly than passion is betrayal’.

Meanwhile Bipasha is also doing Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Mr Fraud’, a comic caper. Though 70 per cent of the shooting of the film has been completed, it had come to a temporary halt due to Sanjay Dutt’s incarceration. Also starring Ajay Devgan and Tanushree Datta, the film’s shooting is expected to resume soon.
