Chempada, the debut directorial venture by scenarist-turned-director Robin Thirumala, has started rolling.

The film has Bala in the lead role and is supported by Sreedevika, Sonu , Anu Anand, John Jacob etc.

Chempada is reportedly a thriller and has elements of a musical too.

While the greater part of the film will be shot in Kerala, Robin Thirumala has plans to shoot a song in Agra with the Taj as the backdrop, and another one most likely in Tibet. More details about the venture are awaited.
