Don has come in for some mixed reaction from the audience. While many agree that the film has a lot of style, it is the lack of substance that will hurt the film the most. For the first time, Nagarjuna looks his age in this film. He is not his usual self and he has also slowed down considerably.

It is largely the make-up man’s fault but Nagarjuna does come across as an ageing hero in the film. Particularly, in the close up shots, one can see some wrinkles very clearly. This comes across as a huge disappointment to many Nag fans, particularly his lady fans. Nagarjuna is the eternal ‘Manmadhudu’ of Tollywood and no one can bear to see him looking even slightly old. He should always remain as ‘Manmadhudu’.
