Anushka has been away from shootings for quite some time. She was shocked and greatly depressed over the unfortunate incident that took place recently. Anushka , Ravi Teja and Sunil were shooting for their new film on river Godavari recently. As part of the scene, Anushka pushed the dupes of Ravi Teja and Sunil into the river from the boat. While Sunil's dupe managed to swim back to safety, Ravi Teja's dupe drowned and lost his life.

Shocked over this, Anushka reportedly went into a shell. She cancelled all her shooting engagements and took some time off. She has now recovered from the shock and is now back on the sets.
