Slowly and steadily, Akshay Kumar has emerged as one of the top actors in Hindi films and today is in same league as the top Khans. Akshay has been one actor who has constantly worked on himself to ensure he improved as an actor and today his success can only be credited to his own hard work and dedication.
From an actor earlier referred to as a "non-actor", Akshay is now recognized for his ability to carry off a range of roles and perform each with as much versatility and conviction which can be seen by the line up of films that he has on hand. Akshay will soon start shooting for Tashan, his first film for Yash Raj after his supporting role in Dil To Paagal Hai years back. The film will also star Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor and will see Anil Kapoor in a negative role. Next on the list is Singh The King which will be presented by Adlabs, produced by Vipul Shah and directed by Aneez Bazme, followed by Mera Naam Chin Chin Chin which is a project for Warner Bros. India in association with Rohan Sippy and will be directed by Nikhil Advani.
Post that Akshay will begin work on Tasveer, Nagesh Kukunoor's film for Percept Picture Company and finally he has also been signed for another Yash Raj Films project titled Thevar which will be directed by Shaad Ali. Not being a part of any camp seems to have paid off for Akshay as he is now working with a varied group of film makers and is everyone's new favourite hero.
