Salman Khan has finished writing his first film script, titled Veer. He has found a producer and director for it, and will star in it himself

Actor, painter and now scriptwriter, Salman Khan has just finished writing his first script.

It took over a year for him to complete the script. The title of the film will be Veer and Sallu will play the lead role.

Clearly, there were many takers for Sallu's script. It has already been decided that Veer will be presented by Eros, produced by Vijay Galani and directed by Anil Sharma of Gadar fame. The music of the film will be given by Sajid-Wajid. Our source says, “Yes, the film will be an action-packed big budget flick.

We are looking at an over Rs 75 crore budget. Salman will start shooting for Veer after completing two of his underproduction films, Yuvraj and Wanted Dead or Alive. The film will not be directed by Sajid Khan as reported by a section of media a few months ago.”

Sallu, our source reveals, has hiked his price further and for Veer he will be paid for acting and scripting the film. His remuneration is expected to be around Rs 25 crore.

While an Eros official confirmed the news about the project, Producer Vijay Galani, refused to divulge any details, saying, “I will be able to speak about the film only next week.” Same with director Anil Sharma, who says, “Talks are on but I would not like to reveal anything further.”

Talking about his script, in an earlier interview to Mumbai Mirror, Salman Khan had said, “I am writing Veer but it will take some time to complete. Whenever I get stuck in any scene or screenplay, I go to my father who helps me.”

If insiders are to be believed, Sharma wanted to rope in Amitabh Bachchan for another role in the film, but Big B excused himself out of the project. Bachchan has earlier worked with Sharma in Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon.
