Dealing with the relationship between the Bapu and his son Harilal Gandhi, a new film Gandhi My Father, which also happens to be actor Anil Kapoor's debut as a producer, is set for a worldwide release in August.
Gandhi My Father, to be released on August 3, comes as the latest of the films relating to the life and times of the Mahatma.
"For Gandhi and Harilal, the events moved faster than their ability to handle them. Gandhi himself said that besides Jinnah, it was only Harilal, whom he could not persuade throughout his life. This really remains the unresolved part of his life," said Director Firoz Ahmed Khan at a media interaction.
He said the film tries to display how ‘public domain intruded in the private domain’ in Gandhi's life.
