Devastation by floods, stench of rotting bodies, guns of pitiless army people who have no pity even for kids, never ending war, sound of exploding bombs…these are every day scenes in war torn Eelam.

Aaniver' shows all this it as it is. Mahendran's son John who gave 'Udhirizhakkalai' is the director of 'Aaniver.' Supporting him in the film are Nanda and Madhumita Released in London, it received a lot of rave reviews. It was recently screened for the Tamil press here.

Nanda is a doctor who does medical aid in Killinochi. Without the forced emoting of other heroes, Nanda has given a realistic performance. Scenes involving Tamils features real Srilankan Tamils. The explosion of bombs and shooting spots are also for real. There is no manufactured emotion here. Everything is for real and wrings your heart thousand fold in its sadness.
