You rejected a 30 crore contract with a corporate house, in times when everyone is boasting about clinching mega deals?
Money is not everything. There has to be much more than that to entice me. Yes, a lot of them are talking about their contracts and prices …but that’s alright. I do understand that hype is required.

But one needs to be clear about what kind of hype one needs. Actually, my production company Infiniti is doing a lot of things but in a quiet way. Like, it is tying up with Eros International.

I’m happy on that account because even whilst doing production, I can give a lot of creative inputs. It’s an entirely different feeling when you are working for your own production. You feel more responsible for your failures and successes. I’m absolutely loving it.

Your love life with Kareena Kapoor has become national news now. Does it get embarrassing at times?
Not really. I’ve always believed that it’s best to be honest about your love and life. That way you give it the respect that it deserves. To some extent our life becomes fodder for gossip, but we realise that it’s bound to be.
