Recording of songs had begun on March 22 in Chennai for Mallepuvvu directed and produced by V Samudra on the banner of Sri Samudra Siver Screens, with Bhoomika as heroine and a debutant Murali as hero. Maestro Illayaraja is giving tunes to this flick. Giving details about the film, Samudra says, 'I liked the story narrated by popular designer and 'Oka Voorilo…' film's director Ramesh Varma and decided to produce the film on my own, besides directing it. It is a beautiful love story with a good feel.

We will start shooting from March 27.' Illayaraja says, 'There is novelty in the subject and it had good scope for music too.' Writer Ramesh Varma says, 'The film 'Mallepuvvu' would become a trendsetter.' Brahmanandam, Kovai Sarala , Sakunthala and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Vemagiri, photography is by Anil Bhandari, action is by Selvam, art is by Ramana Vanka, while screenplay, direction and production are by V Samudra.
