Directed and produced by Kuchipudi Venkat on the banner of Black and Eight Act, ' John Apparao 40+' with Krishna Bhagawan, Simran and Ruthika in the lead was earlier slated for release on February 14 but was postponed due to some technical snags. The film unit had utilized the delay time to complete the Digital Intermediate works and other visual effects to brighten the victory chances of the flick. Simran's character is said to be a highlight of the movie.

Post-production works are nearing completion. The producer is making efforts to release the film on March 5. Brahmanandam, Ali, Raghubabu, Benarjee, Sayaji Shinde, Jeeva, Melkote, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Maruthi, Gauthamraju, Prabhakar, Apoorva , Pavala Shyamala are in the cast. Cinematography is by V Gopinath, editing is by Naveen, music is by Kiran Varanasi, action is by Ram-Lakshman, choreography is by Shankar – Babu Yadav, while Story, screenplay, production and direction are by Kuchipudi Venkat
