After a break of 7 years from wielding the director's baton, Vidhu Vinod Chopra returns with star-studded extravaganza, EKLAVYA - The Royal Guard which is slated for a February 16 release. A long break indeed though his next film won't be taking as much time to hit the marquee.

A Vinod Chopra Films release through Eros will showcase a worldwide release of the film Eklavya, including day and date releases across India, North America, Canada, United Kingdom , Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and rest of Africa, Mauritius, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Sri Lanka.

Set in the princely state of Rajasthan in India, EKLAVYA is a picturesque epic with a line-up of Bollywood superstars including Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Jimmy Sheirgill, Raima Sen and Sharmila Tagore.

Last heard, VVC has started work on his English film 64 SQUARES [earlier titled The 5th Move/Move 5] which is touted to be a psychological thriller.

64 SQUARES comes with a tantalizing tagline "Two players. One alive. One dead. A game unfinished... "

Chopra is not new to working on psychological thrillers since he begun his career working on a film belonging to similar genre. Titled KHAMOSH [1985], the film starred Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Amol Palekar, Pankaj Kapur and Soni Razdan in principal roles.
