Malik Sikandar Awan, the Chairman of the Punjabi Pakhtoon Ittehad (PPI) in Pakistan, has criticised the Indian film 'Kabul Express', saying that it humiliated the Hazara community. He said that the film reflected the 'traditional' anti-Pakistan and Islam mentality of India.

Addressing a demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club Sunday against the Indian film, he demanded that the Indian government immediately banned the film. He asked the Pakistan government to lodge an official protest against it, and also demanded the government banned the CDs of the film in the local market.

On the occasion, Awan also called upon the PEMRA to stop screening such 'vulgar' films and warned that if the shopkeepers of the Rainbow Center did not stop selling these movies, the PPI would be compelled to besiege it.
