Shooting 'Balaraju – Bangaru Kodi' directed by Kankanala Sivaram Reddy of 'Sri Kasinayana Charitra' fame and produced by Suresh Akula on the banner of Devika Productions with Naveen and Vandana in the lead, was launched at Ramanaidu Studio in Hyderabad on December 5.

Baby Devika and Master Mithul jointly gave the clap, former minister Devender Goud switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on the hero and heroine under the honorary direction of Mir. Earlier, K Raghavendra Rao performed the puja activities. Speaking to the media, director says, 'It is a complete entertainer.

We will complete the film in a single schedule and the regular shooting would continue immediately. A part of the film would be shot abroad also as per the demand of the story. Sainath gave fantastic story, while Madhavapeddi Suresh is scoring melodious tunes.' Writer Sainath says, 'We chose a problem faced by the present generation youth was taken as the subject and trying to give a solution to it, with a good mixture of entertainment.' Naveen says, 'The film has a very good feel'.

Heroine says, 'I played in several Malayalam films earlier. This is my debut film in Telugu.' Music director Suresh says, 'I am starting my second innings as music director with this film. I am trying to use local talent in giving music for this movie.' Producer Akula Suresh says, 'I am in real estate business and I have an 18-year-old long dream to bring out a film and it is being fulfilled now.' Lyrics are by Suddala Ashok Teja, Vanamali, Velpula Venkatesh , Jayasurya, while story, screenplay, cinematography and direction are by Kankanala Sivaram Reddy.
