After ' Sivaji ,' AVM is producing 'Ayan.' This would be Surya's film after his earlier 'Perazhagan' for AVM.

Director KV Anand made a mark for himself with 'Kanna Kandein.' He directs 'Ayan'. Story and dialogues for 'Kanaa Kandein; were by P Suresh and Balakrishna and they have written the story and screenplay for 'Ayan.' A Hindi actor does the villain role.

Starting with Chennai, shooting for 'Ayan' took place in Malaysia and South Africa. A grand fight scene of Surya clashing with the villains was shot in South Africa. This fight sequence was composed by Kanal Kannan with the South African stuntmen.

Recently, a song sequence was shot in sets put up at a Mumbai studio. Bollywood's popular actress Koena Mitra danced with Surya for this number choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.

Other songs for the film are being composed. For this, KV Anand and composer Harris Jayaraj have gone to Pondicherry. After that's done, shooting will resume.

Surya is paired with Tamanna in 'Ayan.
