It’s time to move to Harihar Nagar again! ‘2 Harihar Nagar’, the sequel to the blockbuster entertainer ‘In Harihar Nagar’, is all set to roll.

Lal, who had directed ‘In Harihar Nagar’ along with his friend and director Siddique (as the hit Siddique-Lal duo), will be directing the sequel alone, in addition to writing the story and the script too.

The pooja ceremony for ‘2 Harihar Nagar’ was held recently at the Sarovaram Hotel in Kochi. The inaugural lamp was lit by director Fazil, with whom Siddique and Lal had been working as associates before turning independent directors with the surprise hit ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’. Among those who attended the pooja ceremony were directors Siddique, Sibi Malayil, Joshiy, B.Unnikrishnan, Satyan Anthikkad; actors Mukesh, Jagadeesh, Siddique, lyricist Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma, music director Alex Paul etc.

Mukesh, Siddique, Jagadeesh and Ashokan who had done the key roles in ‘In Harihar Nagar’ would be the key players in the sequel too while Lakshmi Rai would be the lead lady. The cast would also include Salim Kumar, Vineeth, Thilakan, Janardhanan, Kalasala Babu, T.P.Madhavan, Kochupreman, Rohini, Praveena, Sreeja etc. Cinematography will be by Venu while songs penned by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma will be set to tune by Alex Paul.

The film is scheduled for release during April 2009, as a Vishu release.
