Princess Manoliya Onur, third wife of Prince Mukarram Jah, the eighth Nizam of Hyderabad, is trying to reunite with her husband. Sources said that Ms Onur, the former Miss Turkey, is facing a major financial crisis and had borrowed huge sums in Istanbul to educate her daughter.She and Prince Mukarram Jah got separated about a decade ago and Ms Onur won a decade-long legal battle against her husband in Hyderabad Family Court on June 27, 2006. The family court ordered the prince to pay compensation amounting to $3 million (almost Rs 50 crore) to Ms Onur and their 15-year-old daughter Niloufer Jah then.

However, he challenged the order in the High Court which passed an interim direction on October 11, 2006, asking him to deposit Indian currency equivalent to $ 10,000 to Ms Onur’s bank account. However, the Ms Onur has now expressed willingness to return to her husband apparently because of the lengthy legal battle over the compensation.

The Prince’s counsel, Mr D. Prakash Reddy, said that he did not have any information or instruction from his client about their reunion and urged the court to expedite the final hearing on the pending writ appeal.
