Director Teja’s much anticipated film ‘Keka’ released all over the state and abroad this morning. The film stars abut 34 new faces. Director Teja is also the producer of the film. Teja is going through a rough patch and his last two films bombed at the box office.

Keka was touted as his comeback film. But unfortunately, Keka is not exactly what one expects from a director of the caliber of Teja. The film has failed to enthuse the audience. The first day audiences at Prasads IMAX were a disappointed lot.

Many members of the audience were seen muttering that Teja has lost his ‘Midas Touch’ and that he should stop making films. The film comes across as just another mindless love story. Only PC Sriram’s cinematography is the best feature of Keka followed by some decent music by Chakry.

The new actors have done a decent job but the story and screenplay are definitely not up to the mark. The intense drama, emotions and suspense that are the trademark of Teja’s films, are unfortunately missing in Keka
