Govinda and Shree Ashtavinayak’s Run Bhola Run complete
Director Neeraj Vora comedy Run Bhola Run, which features Govinda in the lead, has completed its primary shooting with the exception of a few songs remaining.
Run Bhola Run is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. is an out-and-out comedy featuring Tusshar Kapoor, Ameesha Patel and Celina Jaitley The film is slated to release in 2009.
Hansal Mehta’s Raakh for January ‘09 release
IMB Combines Production’s film Raakh, directed by Hansal Mehta, is slated to release in January 2009. Raakh is the story of the underworld, its perils and personal pathos of people involved in it.
The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty, Sohail Khan, Eshaa Koppikhar, Amrita Arora and Aditya Shrivastav. The film also introduces Aamir Ali and is produced by Mohammad Abid Zariwala, S.P.Singh and Imran Galani. Music is given by Daboo Malik.
EMI release postponed
Balaji Motion Pictures and Popcorn Motion Pictures’ EMI, which was slated for a Diwali release on October 29, has been postponed to November 7. Because only around 40 per cent of the sound mixing of the film has been completed in Anand Studios, the makers of the movie, Popcorn Entertainment and Balaji Motion Pictures feel that it will be difficult to wrap up the remaining work and also complete the Censorship procedures before November 7.
Director Saurabh Kabra, however, did not feel deterred by the developments. The confident debut director said, “Regardless of the time when the film releases, its appeal will help it garner attention. It is not like people’s sentiments will change a week after Diwali”.
Rafoo Chakkar on home video
Shemaroo Entertainment’s recently released comedy Rafoo Chakkar saw its home video release on DVDs and VCDs. Produced by Friday Pictures, Rafoo Chakkar is directed by B. H. Tharunkumar. The film stars Aslam Khan, Yudhishtir Urs, Nauheed Cyrussi, Nisha Rawal, Archana Puran Singh, Mita Vashishta, Shakti Kapoor, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Tinu Anand and Anant Mahadevan. The film has musical score by Lalit Pandit.
The story revolves around the four central characters, who believe only in - loving life, enjoying life and living life to the fullest. Pappu (Yudhistir Urs), Munnu (Aslam Khan), Millie ( Nisha Rawal) and Jullie (Nauheed Cyrusi), belong to different towns and have never met each other, yet they choose to run away together when they are forced for marriage at the hands of their parents. The DVD of Rafoo Chakkar has subtitles in English and Arabic.
