The stupendous opening of Kadhalil Vizundhen and with Nakku Mukka… becoming an anthem, Nakul is the new star in Kollywood. The youth audiences are going crazy about the boy wonder.
Remember it was nearly five years back that Nakul made his debut as one of Shankar’s Boys. The younger brother of actress Devayani, the plump boy of Boys, who weighed 100 kilos went on a crash diet and made it as a hero with Kadhalil Vizhundhen.
Miracles do happen! “When I was signed for the film, director Prasad told me I should look totally toned and that even my veins should show in the action sequences. I took it up as a challenge. Now, workouts have become a part of my life. I’m not longing for a six-pack, but I want to stay healthy and look my age.” says Nakul, with a big smile on his face.
The offers are pouring in for Nakul. However his sister Devayani who is his role model and ‘Godmother’ has asked him to be very choosy about his future commitments. “After sitting at home, I’m getting busy now. I’ve been signed up another film with Sun Pictures. Then, there’s a film I’m doing with Reliance Adlabs. I’ve also been offered a film by director Gautham Vasudeva Menon, which I will grab”.
He refused to comment on rumours about him doing a film produced by his sister and directed by his brother-in-law. Any which way the boy from nowhere is going places.
