‘Chiyaan’ Vikram will make his debut in Bollywood as villain in the Mani Rathinam film, ‘Ramayan’, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan in the lead roles. (Of course earlier his ‘Annyan’ was released in a Hindi dubbed version, titled ‘Aparichit’, which incidentally didn’t make much of an impact!). ‘Ramayan’, it is said, is a modern version of the great Indian epic.
Anyhow, in the Tamil version of the movie, ‘Ramayanam’, Vikram will be seen romancing Aishwarya , as the hero! This decision of Mani Rathinam is testimony to the acting prowess of Vikram , who has bagged a National Award for Best Actor for his stunning performance in 'Pitamagan' by Bala. Abhishek Bachchan has something to worry for, it seems.
For, Vikram is sure to make a point in his avtaar as hero in the Tamil version!
