MTV is reporting that Derek Luke is saying that he heard Will Smith was offered the role of Captain America in the upcoming Marvel Movie. Think about that for a second. That is like me saying my Bus Driver told my Son that Will Smith got offered the role in Captain America. If the fact that Captain America is a major superhero character and is WHITE is not enough to debunk it.. I dont know what is.
Of course Nick Fury has been recast from white soldier to african american soldier which worked well but then Nick Fury is not in my books a major player. Although I could care less if they cast a white or an african american actor as Captain America I think fan boys would be up in arms over a major change. That would be like doing Shazzamm with Tom Cruise as the lead. You dont screw with comic book history.
