Pasupathy, whose supposedly 'vast' acting skills couldn't do any magic for 'Kuselan', had earlier been saying that as far as he was concerned, story was the most important aspect in a film and that he would be co-starring with any actor. He seems to be having second thoughts after the release of 'Kuselan'
Pasupathy feels he had been unjustifiably blacked out in the pre-release and post-release publicity for the film. He even thought of venting out all his frustrations to a popular Tamil weekly at the time of the film's release but held back lest it might affect the prospects of the film at the box-office. Pasupathy is said to be upset with the producers for having treated him almost like a 'junior artiste' till the film's release.
Meena had recently said that the film didn't do well probably because the director, for some reasons, had altered the story drastically compared to the original Malayalam version. An actress for the past more than two decades from her childhood itself, Meena only said that she felt bad that her name appeared in the titles only after Nayantara , whose role was very minimal.
Pasupathy's regrets may have no takers at all. Definitely a good actor, Pasupathy would do himself a favour by not comparing his 'star' value with that of the Herculean status that Rajni enjoys not only in Kollywood but also in the entire film industry in the country. Rajnikanth has been the unassailable superstar for the past twenty years or so, a status even Amitabh Bachchan or Chiranjeevi couldn't keep going for such a long period of time.
