The buxom babe Hansika Motwani of Desamuduru and Kantri fame has opted out of the Pawan Kalyan starrer Puli. She could not give the bulk dates as requested by director SJ Suryah and hence she opted out of the film. She is being replaced by a newcomer Nakasha.

Another relative newcomer Jyothi Krishna has been roped in as the second heroine. She acted in films like Laila Majnu and Tinnama Padukunnama Tellarinda The shooting for Puli is going on t a brisk pace. AR Rehaman is scoring the music for the film.
