Vishal's forthcoming venture Sathyam, a bilingual, is already creating waves in the industry. The film is touted to hit the silver screens on August 15th, 2008. Unconfirmed reports from Kollywood say that negotiations are on with the distributors to sell the Tamil Nadu rights for Rs. 40 crores and the Andhra Pradesh rights for Rs. 25 crores.
Incidentally, Sathyam was made at a budget of Rs. 25 crores. It is believed that with the present competition to buy Sathyam's distributorship rights, Vishal would soon emerge as the winner among the young heroes. When probed into this sudden surge of competition to buy Sathyam, it was said that the action sequences and glam girl Nayanthara were the deciding factors that increased Sathyam's popularity among the distributors.
