erala Police, produced by Dinesh and Krishnamoorthy under the banner of DKMGroup (Bangalore)and directed by Chandrashekharan, has Kalabhavan Mani once again donning Khakhi on screen. The film tells the story of Circle Inspector Satyanath, who is discriminated against in the Police Force as he is from a backward caste. But Satyanath had struggled hard in life and had climbed the way up the ladder of success on his own merits. Satyanath always wanted to be true to his profession in all respects.
It is in the meantime that the dead body of an unidentified youth is found inside a tiles company. The Police Department seems to be keen on dismissing the case promptly, but Satyanath decides to investigate the matter. He finds out that the dead body is that of a young freelance photographer named Vimal Roy. And then begins the investigation. What all Satyanath unravels in the course of the investigation are rather startling facts.
All this comprises the plot of Kerala Police, in which Kalabhavan Mani becomes Satyanath. Also in the cast are Lakshmi Sharma, Biju Kuttan, Innocent, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Archana , Madhu Warrier and others. The film features script by Vinu Narayanan, lyrics by Gireesh Puthencherry and Jofi Tharakan, music by Kailas Menon, cinematography by Sudhi, editing by P.C.Mohanan and art-direction by Boban. It will be brought to the theatres by Sea Gull Release.
Rajasenan-Dileep duo in Romeo
Rajasenan, the director who had churned out many a family hit and Dileep, the darling actor of the family audience, are coming together once again in Romeo , scripted by Rafi and Mecartin, the hit-making director-duo. Produced by Rafi under the banner of MHM Productions, Romeo tells the story of a young male nurse named Manu Krishna , whose father is a junior artiste in films and whose mother is a judge-cum-television anchor.
Manu is friendly with Priya , who is a doctor in the same hospital in which he works. They even travel together to work on Manu’s bike. Priya, in her heart of hearts, loves Manu though she doesn’t say it. But Priya is not the only girl in Manu’s life. Manu is someone who develops a romantic relationship with every girl he comes into contact with. And these girls include a singer named Bhama and Leena , another singer who comes to sing for a television show.
All these lead to interesting developments, which form the plot of Romeo , in which Dileep becomes Manu Krishna, Vimala becomes Priya, debutante Shruthi becomes Bhama and Samvritha Sunil becomes Leena Cochin Haneefa is Manu Krishna’s father while Mallika Sukumaran plays Manu’s mother. Also in the cast are Salim Kumar, Riza Bawa, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Bindu Panicker, Bheeman Reghu, Subbalakshmi, Ashokan etc. The film has cinematography by K.P.Nambiathiri, lyrics by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma, music by Alex Paul, editing by Rajamuhammed and art-direction by Boban. It will be released by Marikkar Films.
