Sanjay Dutt seems to have turned into a full-fledged singer. After all, in his forthcoming film Alibaug , Sanjay hasn't sung one or two but three songs for the film. Sanjay's voice is pretty unconventional for playback singing but the uniqueness of his voice has always attracted music composers.

Bappa Lahiri who will make his music composition debut with Alibaug informs us that Sanjay's voice was apt for the songs. He says, "I am getting launched as music director in Alibaug . This movie is very special for me because it has three songs sung by Sunjay Dutt. He has sung a solo song called Raat Khamosh Hai... which will be used for the music video. Then there's a duet song sung by him along with my dad Bappi Lahiri. And the third song he has rendered with Roop Kumar Rathod."

Lahiri Jr. reveals that this is the first time Sanjay and Bappi Lahiri have sung together and the song has been used as a promotional video for the film. It features Sanjay, Bappi Lahiri and Bappa along with the other cast of the movie.

Speaking about his father, Bappa says, "I want to be like my dad. He is a legend and hugely talented. He was a trendsetter I am proud to be his son. He is always present during my recordings. Dad has always been ahead of his times and he is the best person to judge my work."

"Music is in my blood," continues Bappa, "I was born to be a music director and I'm happy that I am being launched by Sanjay Gupta. It's a great start for me." Bappa explains that Alibaug is a serious movie and quite unlike White Feather's previous films. The debutant music director has also composed music for Gupta's Dus Kahaniyaan .
