Shooting of 'Yerra Samudram' directed and produced by R Narayanamurthy on the banner of Sneha Chitra Pictures was completed recently. Addressing the media, Narayanamurthy says, 'Our Constitution has given all the citizens a right to live. But it is being trampled in the present society. A movement against this situation is the basic subject of our movie. Several public sector undertakings are being privatized due to the restrictions imposed by the IMF.

Several farmers, workers, unemployed youth are resorting to suicides due to the faulty policies of the successive governments. Our film voices a concern on this and appeal to the government to give back our rights. We shot the film in Kakinada, Timmapuram, Visakhapatnam, Devipatnam and their surrounding areas. Presently editing work is in progress. If everything goes well we are planning to release the film by February 7 or 14. The speciality of the film is that we have introduced the stage artistes, who gained experience by acting in various stage plays through Paruchuri Raghubabu Memorial Nataka Kala Parishad' as film artistes through our movie.'

Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao says, 'Narayana Murthy is the one who dedicated to a particular principle and bringing out films in a principled way. He takes the whole and sole responsibility of the entire film by holding various departments on his own. He needs compliments for introducing several new faces to the Telugu film industry.' Paruchuri Gopalakrishna says, 'I am supposed to play a role in the film, but I could not give dates due to some unavoidable circumstances. However, a new artiste was introduced in that place and the director extracted good talent from him.' Camera is by M Prasad, music is by Vandemataram, dialogues are by KB Anand, lyrics are by Mukkamala Nagabhushanam, Vangapandu Prasada Rao, Ashok Teja, Gorati Venkana and Andesri, while story, screenplay, production and direction are by R Narayanamurthy.
