An exhibition of photographs of stills from the films produced from 1931 to 2006 was set up at Jubilee Hall as a precursor to the Telugu cinema, which is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee from January 26 to 28 marking the completion of 75 years.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy had formally inaugurated the exhibition. Union minister Dasari Narayana Rao, Krishna , Mohanbabu, Vijayanirmala and several others attended the programme. The Chief Minister said, 'Our government is taking up several welfare activities for the benefit of film industry workers.

We have lifted the slab system as thousands of theatres are downing their shutters unable to pay the taxes and to give a new lease of life to the small budget films. At the same time, a system was set up to check audio as well as video piracy. We are taking up many such good programmes for the welfare of the film industry. We are very happy that the Telugu film industry is celebrating the Diamond Jubilee in our regime.'
