The storm over the Mudingonda threatened to hit YS hard. But a lucky YSR has managed to weather the storm and come out of it successfully. So there is no danger to his leadership at least for the time being. The high command has deiced to adopt a wait and watch policy and is also advising YS to buy peace with the communists.
A majority of the party legislators are also not in a mood to disturb YS at this juncture. They feel that the Mudigonda incident does not warrant such a drastic step.
