Chief minster YS Rajashekar Reddy is now in the news for an altogether new reason. The issue is the evangelical preachings of Anil Kumar. For Anil Kumar is no ordinary person but the son-in-law of chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy.

The twin cities are dotted with big hoardings and bill boards announcing the “Jesus Christ Blessings Festival”. The festivals will commence from December 10.

Anil is married to YSR’s daughter Sharmila. Anil is not a Christian by birth but converted to Christianity after his marriage. Anil is an engineer by profession but takes up gospel teachings from time to time.

YSR sees nothing wrong in Anil’s new found passion for preaching gospel. But observers see a different picture altogether. They say that the well known evangelist KA Paul has been going hammer and tongs at YSR. Now YSR is trying to cut Paul down to size by making his son-in-law more popular than Paul.
