It is now Kadapa that is getting all the big projects and schemes. It is after all the home district of chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy. The centre proposed to set up a world class university in the state and zeroed in on the port city of Visakhapatnam.

But chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy has decided to bring it to Kadapa. The excuse given by the government officials is that the required 700 acres of land is hard to get in Visakhapatnam and hence the university should be set up at Kadapa.
