The hotly debated question in Kerala film field today is whether or not Meera Jasmine , the most popular star, will finally appear in Twenty20 film being made by Movie Artistes Association (AMMA).

So far, there’s no definite indication while AMMA office-bearers say they have not given up hope. The Association Secretary Innocent and Jt.Secretary Edavela Babu have denied the AMMA has issued her a show cause notice. `She has not said no to our request, why should we expel her?” asked Babu.

Meera is quoted in the media as having said that the AMMA’s Executive Director and popular actor Dileep had asked for an impossible 25 days of Meera. She could not dream of sparing five days, busy as she is with Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films besides the Malayalam films. Meera is learnt to have said she will try to cooperate, but Dileep, worried at the delay in the making of the film owing mainly to her, expressed his unhappiness. He is sad because Meera’s maiden picture was `Soothradharan’ in which Dileep was the hero.

Dilip is quoted as having denied Meera’s claim of 25 days. `I wanted her to give us two days' call sheet urgently to complete some combination shots with the superstars. I even told her to take her own time for the remaining 6 days' call sheets. I didn't ask her for 25 days' call sheet at all," he said.
