On featuring in the Murattukaalai remake, Sundar C. said that he is sure it would be one of his best experiences and that he thoroughly enjoys working in the mega hit movie of the super star. The film will hit the floors on December 1st and the shooting will progress from Sengottai to Thenmalai, the same train of shooting sequence followed originally for the older version. Interestingly, the chartbuster Pothuvaaka En Manasu Thangam… song and the other four songs will be shot abroad says our sources. It appears that Sundar C will not change his get up by donning a wig, as like Rajini in the original version, but will remain as he is.
Soorya Productions' Gunanithi, producer of the film Murattukaalai says: "We are very interested to remake the AVM's Murattukaalai and requested Saravanan several times to permit us to remake the film. Finally, Saravanan sir acquiesced. I am not new to the cinema industry as I had produced two films 13 years ago - Madurai Meenakshi and Kushbu Jayaram's Manasu Rendum Puthusu. Both the films were directed by my father Amirtham".
Director K. Selvabarathy says, "Sundar C is a close friend of mine and our friendship dates back 20 years. We are joining for this remake film and definitely Sundar is going to rock".
While Rajini's role obviously will be donned by Sundar C, Sneha will be his onscreen partner. Vivek has been signed up for Surulirajan's role and Suman will take up villain Jaishankar's role. Thyagu will be seen in Thengai Sreenivasan's character.
