The income tax department has conducted surprise raids on the residence of Mahesh Babu recently. Now, the tax authorities have served a notice on Mahesh Babu’s elder brother Ramesh Babu. He has bee accused of evading tax to the tune of about 1.5 crores. Ramesh Babu was arrested and released later on furnishing a personal bond.

The government also went after the lands of Padmalaya studios some time back. All this has come as a big surprise to the industry people as Krishna and Vijayanirmala have always been staunch supporters of the Congress party.

Some are commenting rather uncharitably that YSR wants to put pressure on Krishna and his family. When they come to seek his help, he will agree to bail them put on one condition. They should campaign for the congress party.

If YSR can get Mahesh Babu to campaign for the party, then it would be nothing short of a coup. Prince Mahesh Babu is now the hottest young actor in Tollywood with a huge and committed fan following.
