When scriptwriter MT Vasudevan Nair and director Hariharan launched 'Pazashiraja', they were serious about getting it ready for release by April 2008. But it looks as if misery and delays are constantly plaguing the film. Mammootty, Suman, Kanika, Sharat Kumar and others form the cast list of this impressive project. This was going to be the most expensive film in the history of Malayalm cinema with a budget of Rs 7 Crores. But constant delays kept happening from the very beginning. It was always very difficult to get the callsheets of the stars. Since most of the film had to be shot outdoors, the shooting came to a grinding halt due to heavy rains.
Recently, the owner of the palace in which the film was being shot, passed away. This brought the shooting to another grinding halt. Each day the film's shooting gets delayed, the producer ends up losing lakhs of rupees for no reason at all, in terms of hiring costs and interest on the money that he had borrowed. With most parts of the film yet to be shot, it looks highly unlikely that the film would be ready for release this summer.
